2023 to present
I have been exploring the lost boats of North Devon’s Torridge estuary.
Gravel barges, fishing boats and leisure boats all line Bideford’s river which leads to the sea. Some have sunk, and some poke out of the mud like fossilised remains. The images are inverted to become negatives of their former selves.
